The Old Town Silverdale Art Walk, usually held the second Friday of the month, has been postponed.

The art show features local artists in the businesses in the original section of Silverdale and has been showing art for at least 10 years, said Stephanee Yost, owner of Two Bits Barbershop.

But a flagging economy has hampered retail sales, Yost said, resulting in fewer businesses able to participate.

“We’re going to have to bring business back down here,” Yost said.

A fall art show could be in the works, Yost said, but details have not been finalized.
