Nuts About Hi-Fi has relocated, but customers don’t have to look far to find its new digs.

The audio/video specialty story moved from 10100 Northwest Silverdale Way to 9960 Silverdale Way. The audio and video store is located between King’s Wok Buffet and Westsound Bank.

“The customers we do have can drive up Silverdale Way and see us,” said owner Jim Lee. “It’s a comfortable space.”

Nuts About Hi-Fi’s previous owner, Bill Benson, recently retired and Lee took over the business. He worked with Benson for 17 years. Lee didn’t buy the car audio portion of the business, but continues to sell home audio and video products.

“The nice thing about this business is that most of our customers are our friends,” Lee said.

Lee moved the business about three weeks ago when he took over and has plans for future remodeling. New products continue to be shipped to the business.

The new location features a conference room to discuss home entertainment options with customers and various display areas for audio and video products.

“We carry the best equipment money can buy,” Lee said.

Nuts About Hi-Fi buys products from companies all around the world. They sell more than 20 brands of audio and video equipment. The newest dealer housed at Nuts About Hi-Fi is Focal, a French company.

“The technology has progressed so much that it’s pretty affordable,” Lee said. “For the first time in the history of television, you can get a better picture than in a movie house.”

A new product to Nuts About Hi-Fi is a robotic arm. The arm is used to move a television to provide the viewer with the best possible view of the screen. The robotic arm retails for about $25,000.

“A customer can easily spend half a million dollars in here,” Lee said.

Nuts About Hi-Fi continues to draw in new and old customers alike. Since the move, loyal customers have found the new location and continue to buy home entertainment merchandise.

“I’ll never put anything in anybody’s home that I wouldn’t purchase myself,” Lee said. “We’re not just moving boxes here, we’re making friends.”
