1-2-3 Fit proven to provide most effective workout

It only takes one warm spell paired with a couple glances in the mirror to realize the swimsuit season is just around the corner and its time to hit the gym and burn off some winter pounds.
With a majority of people unable to dedicate multiple hours a day to a workout session, 1-2-3 Fit, located at 10516 Silverdale Way, was recently proven by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as having the most efficient and effective 30-minute workout circuit.
This is the best news you can hear because the workout is designed for anyone, said 1-2-3 Fit franchisee Brian Keen. Now its been scientifically proven.
The study, which was conducted at Swedish Medical Center in conjunction with the Seattle University Human Performance Lab, found that circuit style training at 1-2-3 Fit proved to be more effective than other methods of exercise such as playing sports, jogging or lifting weights for 30 minutes. Keen added that people progress through all of the machines in only 30 minutes, leaving 30 seconds per machine.
For them to say our circuit is the best of what they tested is huge, Keen added. Its an efficient and effective way to get a total cardio workout.
1-2-3 Fit combines cardiovascular, strength and resistance training in the 30-minute time frame, allowing for higher energy expenditure and more calories burned. Along with educating the public about the benefits of effective workouts, the study also highlighted how circuit training can help lower body weight, decrease the risk of disease and increase energy.
Evaluating the gyms Simbio System, which is the type of strength training machines used, the study also tested the 30/30 circuit training system designed especially for 1-2-3 Fit. Information and data was collected from people 18 to 62 years old with physical activity levels ranging from inactive to highly active.
The low-intensity circuit workout at 1-2-3 Fit burns 210-250 calories, surpassing walking, yoga, pilates and weight training, according to the ACE study. The high-intensity circuit workout burns 320-460 calories, which is more than 30 minutes of jogging, an aerobics class or an elliptical machine.
With new workout crazes coming out every week, the fitness industry is fortunate to have the independent American Council on Exercise looking out for the well-being and safety of consumers, stated Brooksy Smith, CEO of 1-2-3 Fit, in a news release. We are very proud to be recognized by ACE.
Keen said the circuit training at 1-2-3 Fit is a great way for people to get in, work out for only 30 minutes, and get on with their day, along with learning how to use the equipment properly.
We are a place where everyone can come into a non-threatening, non-intimidating environment and get a good workout, Keen said.
