Sound Publishing is hosting nine business seminars in June to present the results of the company’s latest readership surveys.

Sound Publishing commissioned Pulse Research of Portland, Ore., to survey readers in each of its suburban Puget Sound markets in April. Pulse asked readers more than 100 questions about their shopping plans, spending habits, and media preferences.

This was Sound Publishing’s fourth major readership survey since 1997; the last survey was conducted in 2001.

John Marling, president of Pulse Research, will host seminars throughout Puget Sound to present the survey results to local merchants and explain how they can leverage the information to improve their business.

The business community can learn about the demographics and larger spending trends of their customers; individual businesses will learn about new market opportunities and how they compare to their competitors.

Merchants and merchant groups can use this information to hone their business strategies and advertising plans. There is no cost for the seminars, and all local business people are welcome. Info: Lori Maxim at (206) 855-4205 or the Central Kitsap Reporter at (360) 308-9161.
