Kitsap's newest brewpub will open this week in time for the long holiday weekend.
Hale's Ales in the north end of the Kitsap Mall will open Thursday for lunch at 11 a.m.
The restaurant will only offer lunch beginning Thursday through the Fourth of July weekend, closing at 4 p.m. the first three days and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, said owner Mike Hale.
To celebrate Independence Day on Sunday, giveaways and prizes will be handed out at the restaurant, Hale said.
Beginning Monday, July 5, the restaurant will also serve dinner.
The menu will be the same as at the flagship restaurant between Seattle's Fremont and Ballard neighborhoods — featuring sandwiches, pizza, salads and burgers in addition to a rotating tap of local craft beers.
Hale and his crew broke ground on the restaurant site in February.
"I'm pretty happy with the way the place turned out," he said. "It's been a lot of fun putting it together."
