Bremerton landlord fee
Conflict of interest on Council?
I really have a problem with the vote in the Bremerton City Council last Wednesday night concerning the landlord fee.
I don’t understand at all why Councilman Greg Wheeler made comments on, let alone voted on this subject. As a known rental property owner, in my opinion he has a conflict of interest and should have excused himself from any discussion let alone vote on the matter.
Maybe we should have a recall election in the City of Bremerton for at least one city councilman.

Kitsap Mall
Mall’s ouster of Kitsap Transit discourages customers
What’s the matter with the mall management that they want to discourage customers from coming to the mall?
We in Kitsap County are privileged to have such a beautiful place, not only to shop, but to eat, exercise, browse through books, visit beauty salons and take little children to play.
Let’s encourage the mall management to have a beautiful large entry to welcome young and old and those who are handicapped who ride the buses.
Public transportation is a necessity, especially in a faltering economy, and it should be just a step away from the entrance to the mall.
Who wants to step off the bus in pouring down rain or into a snow storm and walk some distance before entering the mall?
Come on, Kitsap County deserves better. Think of all the millions of dollars spent by customers who ride the buses.
