Jam-preservation class in Silverdale

The Washington State University Kitsap Extension will offer a summer series, "Hip Homesteading" and will kick it off with "Jammin'" — a class on how to preserve jam, jellies and other fruit products. The class will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 25 at the Silverdale Community Center, 9729 Silverdale Way NW. The cost is $35 per person or $50 per family. The class is free for 4-H and FFA youth.
