HONORS

SPOKANE — Heather Kirk and Ruth Parsons of Bremerton have been named to the Whitworth University Laureate Society for spring semester 2008. They qualified for the academic honor society by maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.75 during the semester.

PULLMAN — The following Washington State University students earned recognition on the Summer 2008 President’s Honor Roll. To be eligible for the WSU honor roll, full-time students must earn a 3.75 grade point average for the semester or have maintained a 3.5 cumulative gpa.

Silverdale — Angela Shaun Anderson, Ernest John Dadia and Monica Penny Hunsaker.

Seabeck — Emily J. Cox and Laurie Michelle Rahl.

Bremerton — Angela May Gallip, Karen Leann Goetz, Christopher Allen Johnson, Diana Lynn Dolina Lightfoot, Benjamin Petroski and Dominique Janelle Marie Ragains.

ELLENSBURG — The following students attending Central Washington University have qualified for the 2008 summer quarter honor roll.

CWU undergraduate students who earn a 3.5 or better grade point average, while carrying at least 12 graded credit hours of study are eligible for the honor roll.

Bremerton — Kayce Wright and Nathan Chollar.

Silverdale — Brian Beauchemin.

MILITARY GRAD

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. — Air Force 2nd Lt. Jannel Emery recently graduated from Space 100 and Initial Qualification for ICBM Missiles in ceremonies at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. During the ceremonies, Jannel was awarded the Air Force Achievement medal.

She is the daughter of Army Lt. Col. John & Janet Emery of Bremerton. She has now reported to Minot Air Force Base, N.D. and is assigned to the 741st Missile Squadron, where she is working as a deputy missile combat crew commander.

Emery graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 2003. She is a 2007 graduate of the University of Washington where she was in Air Force ROTC and majored in atmospheric sciences.

SALT LAKE CITY — David Bickford of Silverdale recently graduated from Western Governors University with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
