Thousands attended the 24th annual Kids’ Day Saturday, June 6 at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds in Bremerton.

Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue (CKFR) coordinates the annual event to teach children and families valuable safety tips.

Numerous booths were set up inside the President’s Hall to dish out important health and safety tips.

Children learned how to properly use a fire extinguisher, safely escape a burning building and some were even fitted for bicycle helmets.

Children also entered a drawing for an ice cream party with firefighters.

Kennedy Armentrout of Port Orchard, Daniel Norris of Port Orchard and brothers Adam and Austin Moen of Bremerton won ice cream parties with the Professional Fire Fighters of Kitsap County, IAFF 2819.
