Old Town Art Walk set for Sept. 11

The quarterly Old Town Silverdale Art Walk begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11. The following businesses in Old Town Silverdale will display local artists’ selections during the next few months:

• Silverdale Port Authority: Andy Bergsagel

• Old Town Gallery 2: Shirley Sakatani Skifstad and Jackie Bush Turner

• Old Town Pub: Jerry Phillips

• Judy’s Junk & Java: Mel Hyra

• Olympic Veterinary Hospital: Kit Taylor

• Monica’s Waterfront Bakery and Café: Anna Hoey

• Jeanette’s Old Town Flowers: Gwen Sievers

• Kitsap School of Art: Denise Auld

• Kataluma Chai: Kimberly Guarisco

• Bayshore Spa: Barbara Chandler-Young

• Lisa Stirrett Glass Art Studio: Joyce Jordan

• McGregor & Company: Jill Taylor

• Renaldo Mendez Salon: Stephanie Morgan

The following businesses will display independent galleries by various artists:

• Backdoor Gallery (2 Bits Barbershop)

• Kitsap School of Art: student art

• Old Town Custom Framing: Evy Halverson and Angela and Brock Perryman

• Monica’s Waterfront Bakery

Artists will be on hand from 6 to 8 p.m. to answer questions and discuss their artwork.

The following businesses will offer promotions from 6 to 8 p.m. during the artists’ reception:

• Jeanette’s Old Town Flowers: free flower

• Kitsap Arts: drawing for one month of free classes

• Monica’s Waterfront Bakery: free cookie with a donation for the food bank
