December 3, 2009 · Updated 3:27 PM
Kitsap Mall is hosting a Charity Free-For-All at 11 a.m. today.
A stage will be set up at the food court, complete with 50 packages.
Kitsap Mall Property Manager Rene Morris, Kitsap County Sheriff Steve Boyer and Central Kitsap Reporter Publisher Rob White will unwrap the packages in pursuit of one special package, which will contain a $500 American Express Gift Card to be donated to a charity of the participant’s choice.
The other two also will receive $100 gift cards for charity.
“It’s a fun way of giving out charity during the season of giving,” Kitsap Mall spokeswoman Yvonne Tomascak said. “It’s a fun way of helping out the community.”
Similar events are held every Friday during this holiday season through Dec. 18. Winners of the other competitions will be allowed to keep the gift cards.
