The Central Kitsap School District is hosting community education courses at Central Kitsap Junior High in Silverdale.

Costs range from $35-$85 per course, plus textbooks for language courses.

Conversational Chinese: Elementary Chinese: For elementary school age children. Students will learn beginning Chinese Mandarin grammar, sound out phonetic symbols and recognize Chinese characters. Students will also learn aspects of Chinese culture.

Basic Italian: Imma Keith’s Italian course includes reading, writing and basic grammar, as well as traveling and cultural tips. It’s a great class for travelers, taught by a native Italian speaker.

Learn to Rumba: Students will learn 9-10 basic and intermediate Rumba steps and put those steps into an easy-to-follow routine.

Exercise the Zumba Way: The Zumba exercise program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Samba, Mambo, Rumba, as well as Hip Hop, belly dance, country, pop and even line dancing are incorporated in the calorie-burning, body-energizing program. Class is open to children and adults (please, no infants or toddlers).

Clogging: Get some terrific exercise with this fun recreational dance class. Class levels range from beginning to advanced. Classes are on Mondays 6-10 p.m.
