Verksted Gallery: Calling all dog photogs

The Verksted Gallery in Poulsbo is accepting entries for its annual amateur dog photo contest through this weekend. They’re calling for traditional 4 by 6 prints, either color or black and white, to compete for attention at the back of the gallery during one of its most highly trafficked times of year.

Starting Aug. 17, through the end of the month, gallery artists and visitors will vote on the photos in the categories of: Best Dog Photo, Best Dog and Pal and Most Humorous.

In addition to the contest, most of the co-op’s 30-plus members will be thinking like a dog this month — working in mediums from sculpture to ceramics to jewelry and whimsy.

“Wuff da!” The Verksted exclaims. “Imagine the paw-so-bilities.”
