Residents of the South Kitsap community of Manchester are invited out for a free fiesta of fiddling and fun for the whole family this Saturday at Pomeroy Park.

But fiddling enthusiasts from all over are likely to be drawn to the four-hour free event.

Manchester’s-own Duncan Creek String Quartet is slated to kick off the evening at 5 p.m., Aug. 29 with a performance from well-known pro-fiddlers Vivian and Phil of Washington Humanities’ Inquiring Mind program to follow, along with fiddlers young and old from the Washington State Fiddlers’ Association.

Plus, the South Kitsap Kiwanis breakfast club will be cooking and serving up free hot dogs (as long as they last.)
