Feel the beat of folk songstress Lynne Ferguson as she releases her album “Tears to Gold” at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Dec. 18, at the Pegasus Coffee House on Bainbridge. Her thirteenth recording, “Tears to Gold” is full of countrified originals backed by some of Nashville’s favorite bluegrass players. Proceeds support the Native Horsemanship Youth Program. Get a little folk therapy from Lydia Ramsey and Jake Shaw at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Indianola Clubhouse as they play original music (and a few covers) featuring guitar, mandolin, piano, trumpet, percussion and vocals. Their performance is free; they’ll accept donations to support their trip to South America. The duo plans to explore, teach kids, share culture and learn music from various regions, including Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
