ELMA -- The Klahowya Eagles reached the state Class 2A football tournament for the first time on Friday against Elma and were looking to go further against a team with a barely over .500 record in a weakly perceived league. The Elma boys had other ideas on their wet home turf, winning the game 46-21 to advance to the quarterfinals. Meanwhile in Silverdale, the CK girls soccer team saw its season come to a halt when Narrows League foes Stadium broke open a 1-1 tie by outshooting CK 4-2 in a shootout. BOTHELL — The Central Kitsap girls soccer team advanced to the state Class 4A quarterfinals with a 2-1 victory on Tuesday against previously undefeated Bothell. CK won after outduelling Bothel 3-2 in a shootout. The Cougars' next opponent is Narrows Bay foes Stadium at 7 p.m. Friday at Silverdale Stadium. The Tigers advanced after a 1-0 win against Monroe that came down to a 7-6 shootout. If CK wins, they'll advance to the state semifinals against the winner of the Richland/Gonzaga Prep game at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Lakewood Stadium in Tacoma.
