If watching after kindergarteners is supposed to be hard, no one ever told Charlene Serra. The Sylvan Christian School kindergarten teacher has been at her job for nearly three decades. What’s more is that when she started her career in the early ’70s, kindergarten was nowhere on her radar.

A 28-year-old Silverdale man called police at about 10 a.m. March 20 saying that he was just robbed and beaten 20 minutes earlier. The victim told a deputy he didn’t know the exact address of where the assault took place.

CKSD moves last day of school to June 20

Central Kitsap School District students will soon have to reap the harvest of the two free snow days they received Jan. 8 and 29. CKSD has pushed back the last day of school two days to Friday, June 20.
