The IRS scandals just keep on coming. First, the agency targeted conservative groups seeking non-profit status. Originally characterized by IRS officials as a couple of rogue agents in Cincinnati, the practice was later revealed to be a politically-motivated campaign coordinated by Lois Lerner, the head of the IRS Exempt Organizations Unit.
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-WA, Sen. Dan Sullivan, R-AK and Sen. Brian Schatz, D-HI, announced they've introduced legislation that would reauthorize and strengthen the nation's tsunami detection and warning systems and continue investing in research to better prepare coastal communities.
Students from the Kitsap area have been named to the Dean's List at the University of Washington for the autumn quarter. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must have completed at least 12 graded credits and have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (out of 4). Students are notified that they have achieved this distinction when they receive their grades for the quarter.
Kitsap County Alan Newberg has been invited to exhibit his carved wood sculpture "Timbre, Tone and Rhythm" in the West of the Mississippi Annual Juried Show in the Clymer Museum and Gallery in Ellensburg.
