Jangle, the library Lab who welcomes all

Jangle is a dog with one busy schedule. Certain Saturdays are slated for library trips, where eager kids wait to read to her. On Wednesdays, she sometimes visits those in the Kitsap Housing Authority. Wherever she goes, she's ready to greet people with her wet nose and wagging tail.

Kitsap County troopers arrest police impersonator near Poulsbo

Troopers responded to a 911 call regarding a possible police impersonator early this morning. The suspect, Trevor A. Schwarz, 21, was arrested. He also admitted pulling over another driver in Silverdale on July 25.

Newberry Hill Heritage Park tree thinning starts next month

Starting next month, outdoorsy folks will notice some changes in Newberry Hill Heritage Park. The park, located in Central Kitsap, will be the first site of a forest restoration thinning project under the Kitsap County Forest Stewardship Program.
