League of Women Voters hosts midterm election forums in Bremerton

The League of Women Voters of Kitsap will host three forums featuring local political candidates in anticipation of the Nov. 2 general election.

The first forum will include candidates in the 26th and 35th legislative districts, taking place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Norm Dicks Government Center in Bremerton. Candidates from the 23rd legislative district will be at a Sept. 29 forum, taking place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Poulsbo City Hall. On Oct. 12, candidates for county commissioner, prosecutor, coroner and Public Utility Dist. 1 commissioner will be at the Norm Dicks Government Center from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The forums will air at later dates on BKAT.

A fourth forum will address tax-related Initiatives 1107, 1053 and 1098 from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 14 at the Eagles Nest in the Kitsap County Fairgrounds Event Center.
