A 23-year-old Bremerton man suspected of starting a brawl at a wedding early Monday had attempted to punch a man, but accidentally punched the man's wife.

Bremerton police were called to the melee at the Elks Club, 4131 Pine Road, at about 12:30 a.m., according to reports. Police found people yelling and running in all directions.

A woman at the wedding identified aggressors to police, including a 47-year-old Bremerton man who had instructed his sons to "go home and get knives and guns," according to the report.

In all, three men were arrested and booked into the Kitsap County jail for investigation of assault, including the 47-year-old, who allegedly struck an officer's wrist and resisted arrest.
