Kitsap 911 dispatcher arrested, charged with rape of child

A former Washington State Patrol trooper and CenCom 911 dispatcher from East Bremerton was jailed in Kitsap County Monday for suspicion of sexually assaulting a minor.

The charges against the 37-year-old are first-degree incest and third-degree child rape, said Deputy Scott Wilson, spokesman for the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.

The alleged offenses occurred in East Bremerton at the man’s residence in July with a victim who knew the suspect.

The victim was interviewed on Monday and said the suspect gave her alcohol and told her if she did not comply with his sexual requests, he would tell her father that she had been drinking, according to court documents.

The man was arrested at his father’s residence in Sequim Monday evening. The man admitted to detectives during the drive to Kitsap that he provided the girl with alcohol and sent inappropriate text messages.

The suspect was terminated from his position as a 911 dispatcher with Kitsap County.
