Sheriff’s office seeks volunteer deputy sheriffs

The Kitsap’s County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for volunteer positions as reserve sheriff’s deputies. The application deadline is at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 10.
The sheriff’s office is looking to bring on 15 reserve deputies who will perform duties such as criminal patrol, prisoner transportation, security checks, traffic control and crime scene security. Minimum requirements include U.S. citizen status, no felony convictions, a valid Washington drivers license, completion of a written exercise and board interview and a physical ability test.
Applications are available at the sheriff’s central office, located at 3951 Randall Way NW in Silverdale or at the Kitsap Mall’s Community Information Office, 10315 Silverdale Way.
