A Bremerton man trying to elude law enforcement south of Poulso on State Highway 3 Feb. 10 spun out of control, closing southbound lanes for four-and-a-half hours.

The 29-year-old was traveling south on the highway from Finn Hill Road at about 10:30 p.m., trying to escape law enforcement when his station wagon struck the left cable barrier just north of State Highway 308 and returned to the left lane, according to a statement from the Washington State Patrol. The station wagon spun out and the driver was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton as a precaution. Drugs or alcohol are suspected as a cause of the collision.

Southbound lanes were closed for four hours and 27 minutes.
