Silverdale Trader Joe’s to open later this year

Trader Joe’s has confirmed that Silverdale will become home to a new store location soon — although how soon is unknown.

“At this time we’re on target to open this year,” Alison Mochizuki, a Trader Joe’s spokeswoman said Tuesday.

The store will be located at 9991 Mickelberry Road Northwest, formerly Circuit City.

The store’s application with the county Department of Community Development was approved in November 2010.

“We consider ourselves a neighborhood store and feel Silverdale is a wonderful neighborhood to be a part of,” Mochizuki said.
