A 31-year-old East Bremerton woman was cited for striking two teenage girls April 1 near Kitsap Mall.

The girls were treated for a leg and head injury. The teens were treated at Harrison Medical Center and released. A third girl with the two others was nearly struck, but was not injured.

A Kitsap County sheriff’s investigation found the driver of the 1995 Toyota Camry failed to observe and obey a traffic signal, entered the intersection against a red light and struck the two teens in the crosswalk.

The driver was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
