A 29-year-old Bremerton man was arrested April 28 for stealing another man’s bicycle by clotheslining him then jumping on the bike and riding away.

A 20-year-old Bremerton man rode his bike when he said he was “clotheslined” at about 1:12 p.m. by the 29-year-old and fell to the ground and lost consciousness at Washington Avenue and Burwell Street as the suspect rode off with his bike, according to a police report.

When police spotted the suspect, he ran away on foot toward Pacific Avenue but later complied with orders to stop. He was booked into the Kitsap County jail for investigation of second-degree robbery.
