Bremerton woman who feeds birds causes a nuisance for neighbors
May 27, 2011 · 3:31 PM
A 22-year-old Bremerton woman complained to police May 21 that her neighbor's habit of throwing bird crumbs on her parked car to feed birds has caused damage.
The 22-year-old, who lives on the 300 block of Wycoff Ave., told police the neighbor had thrown bread crumbs off the balcony which landed on her parked car.
The 22-year-old said the 72-year-old neighbor does this "all the time" and it causes birds to defecate and walk on her car, which damages the convertible roof, according to a report.
The 22-year-old added that the woman threw cat feces onto her boyfriend's parked vehicle before.
Neighbors across the street from the apartment complex also complained about the woman's habit of feeding the birds, according to the report.
The 72-year-old did not answer the door when an officer attempted to contact her.
A report was forwarded to the city prosecutor for review of third-degree malicious mischief.
