Bremerton woman complains about neighbors shooting a squirrel
June 3, 2011 · 4:27 PM
A 42-year-old Bremerton woman complained to police May 24 that her neighbors had shot and killed a squirrel with a BB gun and placed the animal on a car.
The woman told Bremerton police that a group of two men and one woman behind her apartment complex on the 1100 block of Pacific Avenue shot a squirrel in their yard at about 1:42 p.m., according to a police report.
The dead squirrel was placed on another tenant’s vehicle of which the woman said she removed and tossed it in a garbage can.
Police arrived at about 2:25 p.m. and did not observe anyone outside. An officer attempted to make contact with the group, who reside on the 1100 block of Pleasant Avenue, but was unable to do so because of a barking dog fenced inside the yard.
