A man dropped off bullets he found at the front desk of a Bremerton fire station June 2 and left before the administration specialist was able to obtain further information from him.

The man, described as in his 50s, arrived at the Park Avenue fire station at about 3:14 p.m. and said he found five bullets near the Kitsap Community Resources building. He said he did not want anything to do with them and set them on the administration specialist’s desk, and walked out of the building.

The bullets appear to be old rifle bullets, possibly 30/06 or an 8 mm Mauser. They were entered into the police department’s property room for destruction.
