A 26-year-old man was arrested May 31 for a hit and run and felony harassment in Silverdale.

The man, from Jefferson County, was driving a Ford and hit a Toyota in the 10000 block of Levin Road in Silverdale May 30. The car that he hit was of a 46-year-old acquaintance. When the 46-year-old man confronted the 26-year-old, he began to threaten him.

The 26-year-old approached the other man waving a tool and threatened to kill him, according to a report from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived at about 10:51 p.m., the 26-year-old had fled the scene. A K9 search turned up empty.

The next morning, the 26-year-old returned to the area and the 46-year-old notified the sheriff’s office and a deputy arrested him at about 10:27 a.m.

The 26-year-old admitted to a deputy that he got into an argument but denied threatening anyone or hitting anyone or anything with his vehicle. He also denied holding any type of object that may have been considered a weapon. He was arrested for a felony harassment and a hit and run and booked into Kitsap County jail.
