Gregoire appoints Garrido to Connecting Washington Task Force

Gov. Chris Gregoire announced Tuesday the appointment of Kitsap County Commissioner Charlotte Garrido to the Connecting Washington Task Force, which is responsible for developing a 10-year investing plan for the state’s transportation system and presenting it the 2012 Legislature, according to a statement. The task force will review statewide transportation needs and will recommend the most promising projects and identify potential revenue sources. The members of the task force will consist of locally elected officials and representatives from tribes, organized labor, trade associations and businesses as well as transit, consumer and environmental advocates.
