A Bremerton man reported finding a knife under the Warren Avenue Bridge Sept. 17 and asked the officer if he could keep it if no one claimed it.

The 35-year-old man reported at about 12:03 p.m. that he found a fixed blade hunting knife and leather sheath while cleaning the area under the bridge with a church group.

The man asked if he could keep the knife if no one claimed it and the officer, not sure of the policy, gave the man the case number for the report. The knife and sheath were placed in the Bremerton Police Department’s property room as found property.
