College scholarship for enlisted dependents

The Navy Wives Club of America Bremerton #46 announced a scholarship opportunity for children of enlisted sailors ranging from $1,000 to $1,500.

The one-time, non-repayment grant can be applied to tuition, room and board and books.

The national Navy Wives Club Scholarship Foundation will select 30 students.

Students must be natural born, legally adopted or a step son or daughter of an enlisted member of the Navy with a dependent ID card. They must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average and qualify for graduation from an accredited high school by the time the scholarship is granted.

The scholarship is need-based and applicants must also show need for financial assistance. The deadline for all materials is May 30.
