It saddens me to see the poor judgement displayed by you in publishing the "In Our Opinion" piece in the Feb. 24, 2012 edition of The Central Kitsap Reporter.

You unjustly insinuated that the 9-year-old boy who brought the gun to school shot the gun point blank at another child. Obviously all the facts of the accidental shooting had not been ascertained at the time your paper needed to go into publication. Yet, you gave your opinion about the child involved as if he had. Such insinuations based on hearsay rather than mostly conclusive evidence harms the child, his family, and our community. I have seen and would expect in the future more ethical reporting. It would be commendable if you would apologize for your words.
