April 6, 2012 · 12:19 PM
A 29-year-old man's pickup truck was reported stolen in Seabeck early Tuesday morning. Later that day the truck was located, but damaged from fire.
Kitsap County sheriff's deputies responded at about 1:30 a.m. to the man's complaint that his 1991 Toyota pickup truck had been stolen from West Morganmarsh Lane.
About twelve hours later at approximately 1:40 p.m., the truck owner contacted deputies and reported that the truck had been found at the end of Larson Lane and apparently had been set on fire, according to deputy Scott Wilson, sheriff's office spokesman.
No arrests have been made and the sheriff's office is continuing investigations, Wilson said Thursday.
