BIRTHS AT NAVAL HOSPITAL BREMERTON

A boy to Valerie and Bradley Van Horn of Bremerton.

GRAD

BELLINGHAM — Jacob Yeager, son of Lee and Denise Yeager of Bremerton, graduated from Western Washington University on March 22 with a Bachelor of Science degree in bio chemistry and a minor in biology.

Yeager attended CK schools through 10th grade, graduating in 2003 from Nile C. Kinnick High School in Yokosuka, Japan.

DEAN’S LIST

CHENEY — The following students were named to Eastern Washington University’s dean’s list for winter 2008.

Olympic High School grads — Sean Apodaca, Scott Ayers and Vanessa Bennett.

Central Kitsap High School grads — Aimee Carroll, Colleen Childers, Shawn Cowles, Jessica Dizon, Meghan Granito, Kyle James, Kelsey McFarland, Brett Moore, Jennalee Schuler and Alexander Wolfe.

Klahowya Secondary School grad — Elizabeth Stewart.

PRESIDENT’S AWARD

PULLMAN — Andrew Zander, of Silverdale, a social science junior at Washington State University was one of 40 students to be selected to receive the 2008 President’s Award.

For more than a decade, the President’s Award has been bestowed annually to less than 1 percent of the university’s undergraduate and graduate students who exemplify exceptional leadership and service to the university and the community. Students are selected based on their leadership and engagement consistent with the university’s values of inquiry and innovation, character, teamwork and diversity.

SATURDAY MILITARY ID CARD ISSUANCE MOVING TO BREMERTON

Personnel Support Activity Detachment (PSD) Kitsap will begin providing Saturday Identification Card issuance at Building 1013 on Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton May 3. The current location is in the PSD Building at NBK-Bangor. Building 1013 is located just inside the Naval Avenue gate with ample parking for customers provided with service for active duty, reservists, retirees, dependents and contractors. There will be no change in hours of operation. Normal hours of operation for Saturday ID card issuance is 8 a.m.-noon. The Bremerton ID Card lab can be contacted at (360) 627- 3331/3371/3370.
