Ferry facts and feedback at upcoming meetings in Port Orchard and Bremerton
Representatives from the ferry system will visit local communities served by ferries to share important information and receive valuable feedback from customers at public meetings scheduled for Nov. 7 through Dec. 10.
Washington State Ferries (WSF) is holding a series of community meetings to provide information, answer questions and hear from customers on a variety of issues, including the upcoming legislative session, proposed service reductions on some routes, new ferry construction and liquefied natural gas as a potential fuel for ferries.
"The community meetings are a great opportunity for us to hear from our ferry-served communities," said David Moseley, assistant secretary for the Washington State Department of Transportation, Ferries Division. "I will discuss the future of the ferry system as we head into the 2013 legislative session."
During the meetings, Moseley will discuss system-wide and route-specific issues. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to Moseley and his team. Materials and comment forms will be posted on WSF's community meetings page prior to the first meeting on Nov. 7.
