Thursday, 11/8, Veterans Job Fair at WorkSource Kitsap (see attached).  Bring several copies of your resume and dress for success.  There are several employers confirmed for this job fair.

Sunday, 11/11, Suquamish Warriors invite you to their annual Veterans Day Honoring Dinner (See attached for details). Beautiful ceremony.

Sunday, 11/11, American Legion Post 172, Bainbridge Island, invites you to their annual dinner. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. Please call Bill Beck at 206.842.5000.  If you get voice mail, leave your name, the number of people in your party, and a callback number to confirm your reservation. Happy hour starts at 5:30 pm, followed by roast dinner.  Guest speaker is Ed Palm, PhD.  Ed served as a Marine grunt in Vietnam, got out, went to college, and went back in again as an officer, got out and went back to college as a professor and administrator.

Sunday, 11/11, Washington State Veterans Raffle (see attached for details) Win a million bucks. Only 200,000 tickets go on sale, raffle on January 2nd.  Net proceeds go to WDVA veteran assistance programs.

Monday, 11/12, Annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the Sun Pavilion, County Fairgrounds. (Yes, it is on Monday) Doors open at 9:00 am.  One of the most well attended veteran events in the state.

Wednesday, 11/14, Kitsap County Veterans Advisory Board Meeting.  Special guest, architect Robbie McNamara will do visual presentation of The Unforgotten, Run to Tahoma Memorial under consideration for placement in the county admin building.

The Veterans Training Support Center provides continuing educational opportunities and professional development to those who provide direct service to veterans and their family members. The aim is to raise awareness and understanding on issues specific to veterans such as invisible wounds like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury, and to encourage agency and institution staff to establish promising best practices that will empower this population in their reintegration and pursuit of personal, academic, and meaningful career goals.  Check out their upcoming training opportunities:
