Fell asleep at

the movies

A Silverdale Cinemas custodian called police at 5 a.m. March 30 to report damage to the men’s restroom as well as a person still inside the movie theater.

Deputies arrived and found a 16-year-old East Bremerton girl at the theater and the men’s bathroom heavily damaged. The girl told a deputy that she fell asleep watching a movie and when she woke up, the theater was empty except for the cleaning crew. The girl also had a skateboard with her that she said belonged to her boyfriend and an exit door to the theater was ajar.

The girl later told the deputy that her friend who works at the movie theater let two of her friends in for free. They then let her in through the exit door. The two men she was with left the movie early without saying anything to her. She thought they were coming back, so she stayed and finished watching the movie. She could not get in touch with them and decided to sleep in the movie theater.

The girl was arrested and booked into juvenile detention for second-degree burglary.
