From KITSAP NEWS Reports
Levitz Furniture in Silverdale will close in the near future. The New York-based furniture company is liquidating its assets and closing all 76 of its stores nationwide, according to reports.
The Silverdale store is having a going-out-of-business sale, selling all items for 25-50 percent off. It is uncertain when the furniture stores last day in business will be because the store aims to sell all of the merchandise in the showroom before closing, according to a Silverdale employee.
Levitz in Silverdale opened in summer 2004. The company was a leading retailer of furniture, bedding and home furnishings. There are five Levitz locations in Washington including Bellevue, Lynnwood, Silverdale, Tacoma and Tukwila. The regional distribution center also is located in Tukwila. The Levitz store closures will impact about 100 employees across the state.
