Applicants sought for planning commission

Central Kitsap Commissioner Josh Brown will make his second appointment to the Planning Commission before the end of the year, after the term for incumbent Planning Commissioner Dean Jenniges ends.

“I am looking for someone who has experience in land use policy as it relates to the public benefit,” Brown said.

Jenniges, who is finishing his first four-year term, said he wanted to serve again but was told by e-mail that Brown “wanted to open the position up.” Each commissioner makes board nominations, which are generally approved by the board.

Deadline for applications is 4:30 p.m., Nov. 30. All applicants must be residents of Commissioner District 3 (Central Kitsap).
