Music lovers can indulge in a free summer concert at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 in the natural outdoor amphitheater at the Sylvan Way Library in East Bremerton. The High Strung will play a full set of their rousing songs that are similar to The Beatles. The Detriot-based band has been hailed by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the best new, young rock and roll bands in America.

Concert-goers will hear from band members about what it’s like to tour year-round. High Strung also will solicit the audience’s help in writing and improvising a song on the spot.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information about High Strung, visit their Web site at www.thehighstrung.com or visiting www.KRL.org and click on “See Upcoming Events.”
