With 27 years of service spent within the walls of the Central Kitsap School District, the goodbyes will be bittersweet.

Katharine Gleysteen, executive director of secondary teaching and learning, is embarking on the journey to retirement for the second time in her career. She is reminiscent of the experiences that shaped who she is today.
