Last year, 86 firefighters were killed in the line of duty.

Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue (CKFR) Capt. Frank Wilson is actively working to decrease that number.

Wilson, who has been a CKFR firefighter since 1994, was recently selected as a Washington State Advocate for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Life Safety Initiatives Program (LSI).
