Construction work on the State Route 3/SR 303 interchange has been more visible than obstructive to passing drivers. Next week that’s changing as there are several overnight slowdowns planned in the $16.7 million project’s vicinity. The state Department of Transportation has announced it will be impeding traffic at the following times:

• Monday, June 19, midnight-4 a.m. — rolling slowdowns on north- and south-bound SR 3;

• Tuesday, June 20, 10 p.m.-4 a.m. — rolling slowdowns on north- and south-bound SR 3;

• Wednesday, June 21, 10 p.m.-4 a.m. — rolling slowdowns on north- and south-bound SR 3 and SR 303 (Waaga Way);

• Thursday, June 22, 10 p.m.-4 a.m. — rolling slowdowns on northbound and southbound SR 3 and on Waaga Way.

Delays of up to 15 minutes at a time are expected and flaggers will be in the area to control traffic flow.

Crews will be installing high-mast illumination poles and stringing power lines across both highways and the ramps.
