Alternative sites to North Cowichan council’s planned development of Chemainus’ Echo Heights forest will be presented during a 6:30 p.m. public meeting Jan. 31 at St. Joseph’s School.

Bad weather postponed the CRA’s previous meeting slated for St. Joseph’s last year.

The meeting will include retired geologist Fergus Anderson’s presentation on alternative sites, a talk by biologist David Polster concerning results of Madrone consultants’ study of Echo Heights’ ecology, and a question period about the planned Chemainus marina project.

The Jan. 31 meeting is also a precursor to the CRA’s first annual general meeting set for Feb. 15 at St. Joseph’s. The CRA can be reached at 246-3438.
