Bremerton City Council accepting applications after member's resignation

At the Council Meeting on Jan. 2, 2013, District 4 Council Member Roy Runyon announced his resignation effective 11:59 PM on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013.
Therefore the City Council, per the Charter of the City of Bremerton, will appoint a qualified person to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term through Dec. 31, 2013.
To qualify, applicants must be a resident of District 4 at the time their application is submitted, as well as a resident of the City of Bremerton for one year prior to Feb. 1, 2013. Final eligibility will be determined by the Kitsap County Elections Office.
If you have questions regarding your residency, you may confirm which Council District you reside in by entering your home address to conduct a “Personalized Voter Information Search” on the Kitsap County Elections website athttp://kcwppub3.co.kitsap.wa.us/VoterInformation/.
