Central Kitsap editor will also edit Bremerton Patriot

Kassie Korich, editor of the Central Kitsap Reporter, also has been named editor of the Bremerton Patriot.
Both papers are owned by Sound Publishing, which also owns the Port Orchard Independent, the North Kitsap Herald, the Bainbridge Review, the monthly Kingston Community News and the Kitsap Free Daily.
Sound publishes the U.S. Navys Northwest Navigator as well.
Both the Patriot and the Reporter will be published in the companys Silverdale office, along with the Navigator and the Daily.
The Patriot will be distributed weekly, on Saturdays, as will the Reporter.
Kassie Korich is a rising star in this company, having moved from intern to reporter to editor of one paper and now editor of a second paper in just a few short years, said Rob White, publisher of the Patriot, the Reporter, the Navigator and the Daily. We keep giving her more responsibility and she keeps showing us she can handle it.
Korich has been with Sound Publishing for four years. She is a 2002 graduate of Klahowya Secondary School and Olympic College through the Running Start program. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of Washington-Tacoma.
She served as the Patriots temporary editor in 2006 while then-editor Tracey Cooper was on maternity leave.
Kitsap News Group is a division of Sound Publishing, the largest publisher of community newspapers in the Pacific Northwest including a total of 34 papers throughout the Puget Sound region.
