A winter storm brought it in.

Now somebody needs to take it away.

A blight on the Silverdale waterfront, the 30-foot powerboat “Diana” has sat high on the beach, listing to one side, between the Port of Silverdale’s pier and boat ramp, for months.

So the Port of Silverdale Commissioners are taking any proposals for the boat’s disposal and will consider them at their Thursday meeting.

The commission meets 7 p.m. at the port office, 3550 Byron Street in Old Town.

As owners of the vessel, which is identified with Washington state boat number WN0093JG, the port has a couple of options.

It can dispose of the boat, so lng as the process is environmentally sound, but it would rather find ways to benefit the port financially.

If the boat has no value, commissioners would use the least costly option.

Suggestions may be dropped at the port office before the next meeting. Info: (360) 698-4918.
