School board meets tonight

The Central Kitsap School District board of directors will have a special called meeting at 4:30 p.m. today at the Jenne Wright Administration Building at 9210 Silverdale Way NW.

The district is expected to consider Alfred Andrew Jr.’s employment with the district. Andrew, 33, the junior varsity boys basketball coach and a security guard at Klahowya Secondary School, pled not guilty of sexual misconduct in Kitsap County Superior Court on Dec. 14. He was accused of having a consensual sexual relationship with a female student at Klahowya Secondary School.

The meeting will start at 4:30 p.m. with a review of school board hearing procedures. At 5 p.m., there will be a closed session, which will carry over into an executive session at 6 p.m.

The board is expected to render a decision on Alfred’s employment when it convenes from executive session.
